NP435 being replaced by a 4r70w. Old spud shaft housing is stuck in Dana 20. It was installed over 20 years ago. Looking for a way to remove it without damaging. It’s a advance adapter.

Tried unsuccessfully to post a pic of aluminum piece stuck in Dana 20 housing. The Tcase is separated from old advanced adapter tail housing. The old spud shaft housing that has a large o-ring is wedged tight. I am trying to avoid dissassembling the Tcase.

The new 4r70w spud shaft housing is then inserted into Dana 20

This link has a picture of the donut looking aluminum housing.

Remove the rear output assembly from the tcase and knock the spud shaft out from the rear.

Thanks for the responses, driving it out from the output side worked. I put the new housing in without first seating bearing on shaft. :( so it will have to come apart tomorrow.
