NP435 being replaced by a 4r70w. Old spud shaft housing is stuck in Dana 20. It was installed over 20 years ago. Looking for a way to remove it without damaging. It’s a advance adapter.
Tried unsuccessfully to post a pic of aluminum piece stuck in Dana 20 housing. The Tcase is separated from old advanced adapter tail housing. The old spud shaft housing that has a large o-ring is wedged tight. I am trying to avoid dissassembling the Tcase.
The new 4r70w spud shaft housing is then inserted into Dana 20
Thanks for the responses, driving it out from the output side worked. I put the new housing in without first seating bearing on shaft. so it will have to come apart tomorrow.
