Dana 44 vs adjusting sleeve?

Just had new BJ’s pressed into knuckles (using Tom’s Bronco parts) but the sleeves aren’t in there. Can you forget to install??

Ps-to be clear they’re not installed, came back on top of rubber boot.

The upper ball joint uses a preload adjusting sleeve, it goes in the housing’s upper yoke. Is that what you’re asking about?
