I will footnote the post above with mentioning that one of the Locos Mocos on my first trip South with them had a brand new Speedway Engrg built floater 9" under his FSB. On the side of the road within long range sight of San Juanico to the North one chief fabricator guys welded it back together with a flux-core spool gun running off of several loaned batteries.
The rest of us were standing in the sun getting really thirsty. Along comes the Tecate flatbed delivery truck.......

Only in Baja can you trade a stack of racing stickers for a flat of Tecate. Good thing our crew chief had a lot of limes in his truck.

The industry standard since 1975, our Grand National Steel Front and Rear Hubs are the most reliable hub assemblies that you can put on your car for tracks one mile or under.
Am I reading that wrong? These bearings are only good for a track that it one mile or under?

I also suspect that it might be worded that way to differentiate it from the "Super Speedway" parts, which presumably are designed for higher speeds on longer tracks.

Todd & I have discussed these parts in the past, but they do fail my COTS preference for this particular project. However, I think that they're ideal for something like like phred's Pro Touring project.
Although I've long had a burning desire to build a project around using Wide-5 hubs like: https://1speedway.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=69&product_id=81 or: https://www.joesracing.com/product/joes-wide-5-accelerator-hubs/ Doubt that they're strong enough for off-road use, but a Pro Touring something on them would be very cool. Finding small wheels (say under 10" wide!) to fit is the bigger challenge.

ETA: 15x8, 5" BS: https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Aero...Wheel-SP-5-on-WIDE-5-BP-5-Inch-BS-,92062.html So I guess it's not that hard to find a decent wheel for the Wide-5 hubs.
