Dealer Installed A/C instructions

I have done a search and have come up short. Is there an original installation guide available anywhere for dealer installed a/c for early Broncos? I'm not talking about a modern unit from classic auto air or similar. I'm looking for one from back in the day that a dealer would have used if a buyer wanted them to install a/c.

Do you care what brand A/C kit they are for? Back in the day, the dealers didn't all use the same kit. There were at least a half-dozen different suppliers. The instructions for most would probably be similar, but not exactly the same.

Was there a kit that was preferred favored or most common? Doesn’t really matter for the most part. I believe most of the original ones had a York compressor. The rest of the system most likely had a variety of styles and components.

No. Kits used by the dealers were typically what they could get the best deal on. Very universal, put on whatever vehicle needed A/C on the sales lot. Bronco, F150, Pinto, Maverick, whatever. Handful of engine bracket kits. Hose off a bulk roll cut to fit. If any instructions existed, they are very universal. Use on 12V vehicles only, be sure to have an adaquate engine cooling system, use correct compressor mounting bracket for the engine. You put holes to run hoses in the places you find they need to go. No drill 1-3/16" hole 2-7/16 from the edge. You have the parts, where does the hose need to go through, punch that hole, run the hose, and if you are good have some putty to seal up around the hole when done.
