do fmx trannys have a removable bellhousing? im trying to figure out what tranny someone has. it looks like a c4 with the main difference being its bell housing isnt removable but its in a bronco
That tranny looks like it has a removeable bellhousing. Some C-4's have the bellhousing fastened by the front pump bolts in a circle pattern and others (like the EB C-4) have the pump held in by their own circle pattern bolts while the bellhousing uses dedicated bolts in a different pattern.
Yep that looks like a stock bronco c4 the the bolts that hold the bellhousing on are behind the torque converter inside the bellhousing, I think 4 of them if i remember right.
I could be wrong but if i remember right the c4 has the removable bell and the c6 & fmx trans dont, again i could be wrong, its been awhile since i've had to mess with ford automatics
