Did all Early Broncos come with 28 spline axles?

Did all Early Broncos come with 28 spline axles or did some of the later models come 31 spline axles? I have a 77 and would like to know if I can replace the 3rd member with one from a 72 that has 4.10 and a L/S.

66-77 all had 28 spline from Ford.

66/77 all had 28 spline I thought only the Stoppe had come w/31's

All 66-77 Broncos left the factory with 28 spline axles in the 9". No exception.

What happened after they left the factory is a different story.
