Have been looking at Digital Guages and different vendors have different styles. Does anyone have any good or bad experience with these? Who besides Dakota Digital makes them? I like the display set up better on the one from WH than Toms or BC. Any help out there?

WH & Toms are made by Digital dakota BC's are made by Nordskog.

The Dakota has 2 modules to install ( display & controller)the BC unit is has 1.

I have the BC unit, it is almost installed, the only thing I do not like so far is how the wires are connected to the PCB, some type if PCB header would have been better.

Why do Toms and WH look different if made by the same company? If you look at the catalogs WH has a bar tack and digital tack and that makes it look better to me. Could it be Toms catalog picture is an old style?

Tom's and WH has the old style digital cluster. There was a post a while back that had the cons of that one. The new one by BCB supposedly done away with the troubles that the old one had.

The short story. I hand made the first ones by hand. Dakota wanted to build them exclusively for me so I sent my design and prototype to them. They started making them for me but in a few mos. they decided that exclusively didn't realy mean only me so started selling them to all of the EB venders so I stopped buying them. And started looki9ng for someone else to build my new degital cluster. I made a number of changes/changes that you can see by looking. Some are obvious likethe part that labels what each number is. The old one is marked in white on the face, my new one has an LED that says what the number is. A number of other changes but no need to waste this space. I have no hard feelings for the other venders for selloing them and still think they are great but 2ed best:) IMHO

The problem with sun shining directly on the cluster is one of the things I tryed to inprove on but it is still hard to see the digits when the sun is behind you.

It would be nice to have a visor over the top of the digital gauge to cut down on the glare.
