installed my WH header and broke the dipstick tube off right at the second barrel flare. would I still need a new tube, looks like it needs to go in further? it is push in on drivers side block (93 mustang block I think).
What are you all using with headers?

good question, i bought the replacement from jeffs and it doesn't fit (289) so I tracked one down on here from a member. I think i might relocate the mounting tab so it bolts to one of the oil pan bolts instead of the header bolts

There is a difference between the stock bronco pan and the mustang style push into block. You have to get the correct parts for what you are trying to repair.

The in block dipstick location can use a car or truck dipstick tube so long as you use the matching dipstick. Any change in the length of the tube will result in changing the elevation of the dipstick
