I got a donor '76 Chevy Dana 44 axle with discs and stripped off the spindles out, do I need the steering knuckles also? I'm trying the get the old axle out of the garage, but need to know if I need those knuckles.

Oh yeah, I have a '73 Dana 44 front with drums.

I have tried to search, but I know someone knows the answer faster than I can find it.

thanks,
rob

Only need the knuckles if doing the ford swap. One of the bueatys of the GM swap is you don't have to change knuckles or do anything with the steering linkage. Only have to go as far as the spindles and backing plates.

Man! I've owned six of these things and still rely on all these "big bronco brains" for wisdom.
