Hey folks,

I’m away from my rig at the moment and have a clearance question. How much room is there between the back of the rear seat and the tailgate? I have a really nice subwoofer in a box that I had made for a different vehicle. At some point I may try-make it for the Bronco but thought maybe I would get lucky and it would be perfect as it is.

It’s abour 11 inches wide by 16 inches long and 15 inches high. The woofer is on the long end.

Thanks everyone!

Looks like about 13” (close fit if carpeted) at both the top of the tailgate, and at the seat frame to the tailgate. Gain about an inch below the frame, which is at 14” from the floor.

You could always do the modification that Slowleak did when he installed Hummer sliding tracks on his rear seat. Really slick and it allows the seat to move forward several inches if the stock location is too tight. (If I weren’t so tech challenged I’d attach the thread)
