If so, are you happy? Any issues? What is your setup?... ie kind of tires, gearing, suspension, long arms... any type of locking device..

Thinking about going up from my 33" to 35" but need input on this. I have a 15 mile commute with my daily driver. 33"s are good, but I want a more trail ready rig too..

Really gonna depend on your gearing as to whether it is practial or not.
I run 33s with 3.50s and a 4 to 1 first gear in my T-19 it is almost perfect for daily street use. I would like to run 35s but would need to go to 4.56 or 4.88 to be practial.

I run 37"s

Make sure that you build a removable step to get in and out of your rig.

Thanks men, Oh ya, I plan on regearing soon also, so want to make sure I only have to do it once.
Been planning on going 4:11 since I'm currently running 33"s, but if I go 35" thinking 4:56 might be better?
Madgyver what kind of tires are you running?

I run BFG Mud Terrain 35x12.50's on the road, no issues. Got 4:11 gears, detroit locker in the rear, tru-trac in the front. It handles smooth at 60 on the interstate, and not extremely noisy. Its good on the trail too, usually air down quite a bit, depending on the terrain.

37" MTR's WCB arms WH springs, I like it but I do a lot of short trips and I need a step even though I am 6ft.

What size rims Mark ?

You might have a betterr choice in tires in a 16" rim ..... the metric size tires get into the 34.5"+ range ... 315/75-16.

Although , the 35-12.5-15 is pretty popular still ... I don't kow for sure.

I've been hyping up Firestones for awhile now .... I run the Destination AT's on my Superduty and they are great.
I would love to try the MT's , they get heller reviews on Tireracks sight , unstoppable offroad and great tread life on road , Like 40 to 50k if I recall ....

315/75/16 MTR's, AOD, 4.88's and a detroit in the rear. 1" body, approximately 3-3.5" suspension and Lars bars and Bilstein 7100's. Cruises on the interstate at 70 with 1 finger on the wheel. Soft around town and likes to run fast on wash board(ed) dirt and gravel roads. It would be a perfect daily driver if it had AC, cruise control, and a good stereo (all fixable issues).

mine
35 MTZ's
NV 3550
456 gears
3.5 lift
1 inch body lift

awesome on the street, well as awesome as a Bronco can be

If I didn't have overdrive I would sugest 4:10's or maybe 4:30's
I used to run the 456 gears without the overdrives, and reved to high on the highway

Don beat me to it and has a great point here. Don't forget the 4.30 gears! They are less common but a great in between gear. Would be great for a rig with out OD too.

Also, check out a gear / tire ratio chart like this one
http://www.4lo.com/calc/geartable.htm
and see where you'd like to be in the RPM range while cruising on the hi-way. Most of these charts are for direct drive at a given MPH so you'll have to figure in your OD for your final RPM.

I've been considering 33s /v/ 35s also. I don't mean to hijack but hopefully this will positively contribute to the conversation. Does anyone know/think there's a significant gas mileage difference between 33s and 35s as long as both are properly geared?

I just ordered a set of 35x12.5 BFG km2s also. I was going to go with the 33's but I do most of my wheeling in the winter and the taller the better. Oh yea, all my friends jeeps run 33's, another reason for me to run 35's!

I have 35x17 BFG km2 as a daily driver, not a lot of difference from the 33s I used to have. 35s are just cooler in my opinion.

I'm running 35's with and NP435 and 4:11 gears, works just fine. I would suggest 4:56 gears for off-roading if you have a C4 or a three speed. With the NP435 the first gear gets me low enough for most wheeling, and I still have low range if I need it. On the hiway, I can cruise all day long at 75 MPH with no problems. Drivability with the 35's is fine, KM2's have good road manners, not to loud, and awsome off road.
