How in the world do you remove your broken pins from door hinges? I have one broken and one that needs to go bye bye. Any help would be kick ass! Thanks!

I removed mine from the truck and door and had to use lots of heat (fires your friend!) and air chisel to rattle loose then used a punch and hammer to drive the rest of the way out. Some guys are lucky and don't need heat but mine were really stuck. Be care full not to bend the ears that the pin goes through. Good luck.

I just cut mine close to the circle thing the pin goes through and then hammered it out. I used a nail type rod and lined it up and hammered it out. Hope that helps man....

In this order:

1. unbolt hinge

2. cuss when you break off bolts due to 30+ years of rust

3. go to sears buy broken screw remover

4. drive home (while still cussing yourself for using impact wrench to remove bolts)

5. remove broken bolt from door jamb

6. Say "f**k it" and buy a new hinge set

at least thats what I did!!;D

hd03, you took it a little farther than I did but we had a similar experience. I'll just say I have a set of pins and bushing for anyone who might need them.
