Door hinge rebuild question

hey all,

I'm in the middle of rebuilding my door hinges with a standard rebuild kit. Has anyone used just regular hand drill to drill the hinges and new bushings? I don't have easy access to a drill press, but I don't want to eff anything up...

also, can the new bushings be pressed in with a vice? I also don't have easy access to a hydraulic press....

I'm getting ready to do this myself. Problem with using an electric hand drill is breaking the bit or getting off kilter and wallering out the hole so to speak ;D

I personally will seek out a press, others may feel comfortable using a hand drill. As for the vise? I have used my vise for lots of pressing (ball joints, u-joints..etc). If you do, just be careful and don't force it too much (no pun intended). Lube the bushings and the vise should do the work. If you are using a hammer to tighten the vise, there may be a problem.
