Door Lock Operation

Maybe a dumb question...
I have a 1966 wagon and I must use the key to lock the doors.
Do the later early broncos allow you to push down the lock button and then shut the door while pushing the door handle button?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Yes, the later models allow that, a fairly common arrangement for viehicles of the era, which the wife uses all the time to my consternation. Not sure which models began that if it is true that the 66 does not do that.

Thanks, MarsChariot. I thought that was the case.

Does anyone know if the mechanism in the door can be upgraded so mine works the same way as the later EBs? I am getting lazy.

If the mechanism is related to the 66-67 latches, I'm probably out of luck, but if it is somewhere near the door handles, perhaps there is a way?
