Oregon has wildfires burning now (every year). A few days ago, shifting winds covered Portland and SW Washington with ash.

I took this picture on Thursday, September 9th. The day was windy with mostly haze type clouds mixed with some of the fire smoke, the sun was shining off and on. The black and white photo set up more contrast in the background, but even in colo, it was a beautiful day out.
