I have all the pigtails except the one that connects to the distributor.
-Does anyone have a part number.
-The spades are oriented correctly but the locking tabs are for the module connector.

I always wondered why they even bothered to make them with tabs and locks. Even when you break the locking tabs off completely when trying to separate the two halves, you still have to practically use dynamite to get them apart!

Napa sells it I don't have part # near me right now

I thought so too, but can't seem to find it now. All I can find is the control module pigtail like he has pictured.

Only other thing I could find is MSD part #8869, you could cut the adapter plug off:

Or trim the tabs off the one you have. I'm with Paul in that those plugs are difficult enough to get apart without the tabs, which are usually broken anyway. I call them Ford Three-Handed Plugs.

I couldn't find the correct pigtail when I did mine only the one with the opposite lock tab. I broke the lock tab off that one and pushed them together for a solid connection. Like Donk said... You need dynamite to un-plug it!

You could also contact Painless or other manufacturers that use Ford adapter plugs in their wiring harnesses. They are getting the correct plugs somewhere.

Had to buy an adapter harness from American Autowire to be able to use their wiring harness and the duraspark to the tune of $115. It was that or spend nearly $800 on MSD stuff. Don't know why they would call them a stock harness that WILL wire straight to MSD gear but not to the duraspark. If you're interested, the AA part # is 510824 (replaced 500918).

I will just cut it. I have a bunch of connectors in my electrical goodies.

-I don't know what it is about the lock tabs either, for the love of god they are difficult to put together and pull apart!!!

I've converted more than one to weatherpack connectors.
Including sometimes the ignition module connectors too.

This is what I did to the connection on the distributor. You can get them at any auto parts store.
