Glad to pass this along - Today I undercoated and sound-deadened the inside of one of my doors. I had some Rustoleum undercoat and sound suppressant on the shelf and a desire to get it done with minimal fuss and bother. Went to Menards and bought a 7" paint applicator pad, returned to the shop and cut it in half. Put on a pair of latex gloves and wrapped my wrist and all the way up my arm with that plastic sticky wrap stuff. Poured a dribble or so of the goop into the door and swabbed it here there and most everywhere with the 1/2 paint pad. Came out great, imho, and my hand and arm came out clean! Ah, progress! That's great Howard. How much of the can did you use in the one door? Just a bit of it, or a bunch?
Guessing it can go a long way, but not sure how thick it goes on with that applicator.

Can't wait to hear what you think about it after it's all back on the truck and driving though!

First door took about 1/5 of the quart, second door about 1/4 and I also tried to swab the bottom and the sides of the second door. Due to the restricted access and the shape of a paint pad, the corners and joints did not get covered nicely. Today I am going to tape an extension stick to a disposable paint brush and correct that. It is guys like you, Paul, that really make a difference and inspire hackers like me to find a way! Thanks, Howard in beautiful West Michigan
