The cheaper radiators are usually epoxy'd in some form. A Champion radiator is fully TIG welded and satisfaction guaranted. About the best for the money in my opinion. Extremly pleased with mine.

I just got and installed the 3 core Aluminum Champion from Ebay. Works great with the 4 core radiator mounts. I originally ordered the 4 core but its 3 1/25" thick and wouldn't fit in the EB 4 core brackets and I didn't want to cut and fab ugly radiator brackets to make it fit.

I have a 2 or 3 row aluminum (made in China) from Ebay. It's been installed for 2 years now, working awesome. I didn't know that it was made in China until it arrived with the little white stickers on it! Oh well, it's still going strong.

so you used 4 core brackets on the 3 core aluminum radiator? i just got one of these in and haven't ordered brackets yet.

Yea the brackets are 4 core from WH. I guess champion runs a bit larger than radiators from the EB vendors. I originally had a Bronco GraveYard 4 core, but one of the fins on my stock fan flew off and tore a huge no repairable gash in it.
Anyways you can see in the pics how the 3 row fits using the 4 core brackets.

About two or three years ago someone found a rad. on ebay for 100.00 we all jumped on it like a pack of wolfs! mine had no problems and cooled better then my copper but I pushed my fan clutch thru it(my fault) and bought a champion.

I’ve read 3 recent radiator threads here and opinions seem to be all over the map. Aluminum vs. Copper

My OEM style unit has performed as required for 20+ years in daily driving 10*F to 110*F freeway and stop ’n go traffic, has never over heated and provides ample heat in the winter with a soft top and stock heater. So this is what I’m going to go with.

The question is: What do I have? How many cores and passes?

Specs:
Core 19" Tall X 19¾" Wide
Total 20” Tall x 25” Wide
Tanks 2¼” Thick
