EFI Guys, need to find Rotunda EEC-IV Monitor Overlays

...for the following:
1986 5.0L SEFI Speed Density (Mercury Capri)
1989 5.0L SEFI Mass Air Flow (Mustang GT)

I need any sources available...... or a pdf, jpeg or even a photocopy of the two. Also, if you have the reference manuals, what numbers are the overlays?

Anyone in good with a Ford dealership or service department? Know a really good Ford tuning site? I've pinged www.fordfuelinjection.com some good stuff at www.techcapri.com

I've never used one, nor really felt the desire to buy one just to play with it.
Are you having any problems you can't sort out? Or just want to play?

For those of you who are lost...
Ford had a tool that plugged in between the EEC-IV computer and harness. it has 60 posts on it and each post is spliced into the pins on the computer. Allows quick, easy, and more accurate backprobing of data going into and out of the computer terminals. Much easier then back probing.

The overlays are a sheet that you place over the 60 pins that labels what each pins function is. The best thing is that you can sit in the passenger seat while someone else drives and quickly pin a lot of functions to figure out what is going on.

The snEECker is a modern version that is a data recorder so you can go back and look at everything later instead of moving a DVOM from pin to pin.

Sorry but I'm hitting desperation to fix my problem so purposely left it vague so only someone who would know would respond.

Broncobowsher is describing a breakout box. What I have is even more sophisticated. I have a Ford Rotunda EEC-IV Monitor 007-00047. This uses a plastic overlay that actually programs the monitor via IR sensors that read the overlay and will automatically measure all the pins on the EEC. You can spin a dial and get a digital readout for each pin. I also won an Ford Rotunda EEC-IV Recorder which works with the monitor. You plug this bad boy into the monitor and then you can choose 8 pins to record the data. When your fault happens, you poke a button and it stores those 8 parameters 30 seconds before and 20 seconds after your button push. Then, you can play back two of them at a time. This means you can compare two pins to one another in your living room with all 8 times lined up perfectly! What a tool! Not much use without the overlay. With even a photocopy, I'd know what IR sensors to cover to get it to work correctly.

So, yes, I've had a very intermittent problem with my 89 GT for over a year. Too many hours and $$$$ so I am now tracking down what I need with these tools. I've posted both here and many sites, talked to lots of smart people with no luck. Soooo....being a flight test engineer, I'm using that same idea to flight test my 89 GT!

I emailed you via your site.

I thought about some of those other tools but went down the path of the monitor for both play and I have a PITA problem that just won't repair using swap-tronics. I'm into these tools now for around $150 so it's still cheaper. I originally thought the overlays just labelled the pins but once I got the monitor in, I took part of it apart and sure enough, it uses IR sensors to sense the round windows on the left of the overlay. Groannnnn! :( It has a manual mode that will help but I plan on tracking down the two overlays I need or at least a copy of them.

I also mistakenly thought this stuff would be a bit more common knowledge. :p

If anyone is interested, just PM me and I can keep you up to date or ping this thread and I'll keep it updated . I'm working close with a fellow 'Stanger off stangnet and corralnet.

Anyone have overlays? ?:?
