Well I thought I would try and take some pics and let u guys know how this system goes together...... I have been wanting to put fuel injection on for awhile but to tell u the truth I work a lot of hours and I have kids in sports so the days of digging through the pull a parts are over for awhile......don't get me wrong the ford stuff is cool but I didn't have the time to learn the system and hunt for parts and all that mess.....so I looked into Howell's kit and it was a complete kit which was just what I was looking for.....looked at all the others as well but was afraid of having problems getting parts for those units...MSD,fast and many others......then I found Affordable Fuel Injection .com and it came as a complete kit only thing it didn't have was the fuel line.....it uses all Chevy TBI parts so if I ever have a problem, there shouldn't be any issues getting parts from any auto parts stores............ I just wanted easy reliable EFI that bolted on..... Oh and by the way there are only three wires u have to run to ignition and so on

It is a new wire harness that they make in house.... Weather proof connections and seems to be very well made with every thing labeled and plenty of extra wire for your three connections

As far as the computer u give him the specs of your motor and he flashes a chip to work with it....so the computer shows up ready to use no sending it back or anything to flash a chip

I'm curious to see it finished and your thoughts, I've been casually looking at the EFI bolt on's as well..............and you're not too far away!:) It looks simple.

ive used the chevy throttle body injection for about a year on my bronco i took it off and wentt to multi port fuel injection because going from carb to the chevy tbi i lost a lot of power. No gains except off camber. I went to multi portfuel injection and gained all the power i lost back and actually gained more than i had with carb. so i am happy now.

Out in the middle of nowhere, about 15 miles NW of Enid. I'm running a 4bl, so I'd have to do something different there.

Just remember I still use the stock 2bl intake and carb so making it a a high horsepower motor is not my goal it has plenty of power just wanted reliable injection..... But we will see fordtrucksrule if I lose any power....I hope not lol

No it's actually better if u already have a 4bl intake because u will not have to buy the adapter like I did to make it work on the 2bl intake.... So u will be one step ahead of me

Here is the adapter on the 2bl intake..... If u have a 4bl intake u will not have to buy this....it is installed with of coarse a gasket then the adapter..... It uses Allen head screws that are countersunk in the adapter itself.... A little shot of blue locktite and its on.....

And here is the throttle body......one thing I see as a problem so far is that I use a Lokar throttle cable and with the screws being countersunk on both the adapter and throttle body I will have to come up with my own mount

Interesting topic. I have to wonder how it will work with the two barrel intake. I'd like to see the difference with an aftermarket intake.

Not to hijack the thread but this system looks very cool too. Borla Induction

Very interesting! I'm going keep tabs on this thread because I had thoughts of doing the same kind of thing on my next daily driver build. Please keep us posted as you make some headway.

Thanks Jeff
