OK, has anyone used one of these harnesses? It is supposed to be similar to the 94' cobra harness?

Are you planning to use an EEC-IV setup? The most common swap is from 89-93 Ford EFI setups. I may be wrong but I have heard that doing a swap with Ford parts from vehicles newer than 94 is difficult at best. I don't think a EFI harness from a 98 Explorer will work with the earlier EFI setups.

The 98 Exp harness will be the first Ive heard of... I think you will be better off with a mustang harness from 93 or earlier. I am pretty sure that the 98 harness will require a DSS system (no dizzy) and a boat load of extra sensors.. but let me know if you get it running.. might be interesting.

Better read the Bronco Driver series of fuel injection articles before you decide that youve made a score or not. Dont sound like it to me. Its not something you want to try mix & match with. Id go with the HO Mustang compplete setup myself if I was going to do it which I wont.

I think the '98 Explorers use a distributorless ignition system (DIS), and that it is undesirable due to the complications of adapting it. Besides, the newer they get, the more difficult they are to figure out. The 89-93 systems are great because there is so much info and they have everything you need, and nothing you don't want.

The best place to get a used harness is a good old junk yard. I got mine for 20.00 had to pull it my self but I also got all the sensors, relays, fuel cable I know the fuel cable was not part of the harness. It took about an hour to get it all out. I would recomend taking some pictures before you start pulling apart just to make sure you know where everything goes.

I don't see any pictures of this harness.
Sounds like work to me, but I'm not afraid of wiring work ;D

Ryan,

Would you be willing to do a mass buy on your efi harness? Or how about discount for being a Classicbronco.com member?

LOL, if only you knew how much the mark up is on these harnesses.
Not enough for any Bronco vendor to sell them, unless I allow them to charge $700.
That ain't going to happen.

I working on a Discount for the.......
Free 4 All (June 3-6)
East Coast Bronco Roundup (June 25-26)
SOB ( Augest 27-29)

I'd love to hand out EFI Harnesses to every Bronco I see, but if I don't make a few bucks, people will be getting these in the mail:
