There's another thread here in Tech and we are sharing throttle geometry...can't find it! :(

Here's what I'm rigging up 50% done but geometry is there...

I took pics to show like Broncobowsher said...at 1/2 throttle have the pull geometry at 90 deg to the throttle shaft...

Hows this look?

Can the cable pull it 100% open from that position?

So you're saying at half of your pedal travel in the cab, your lever is at 90 degrees to the cable bracket? If so, how far open is that percentage-wise?

To clarify...my pedal is out and the throttle cable is now to short with the new induction setup so I can't test it w/o connecting it to see if 1/2 throttle on the pedal is 1/2 throttle on the TB valve itself...then you have to be able to determine that if the TB blade looks to be 1/2 open that doesn't mean the volume or airflow around the TB is actually 1/2 open at the exact time due to air flow around the valve itself...I cant measure that...I'm sure it's close enough...

I will check as I'm sidetracked now and that step comes later...

Custom is taking apart a brand new crate engine hours after you get it! :)

Man, that's real purty right there. Even the crate is nice and can be converted to a table/workbench with provenance!

Whatcha doin' to the engine? Changing lifters, or just changing pan and pickup?

I'm changing lifters Cam Pam pistons rods crankshaft oil pan heads push rods rockers, brgs, block too...

I'm Saving the old Stroker for another project and for the 1st time in my life, I bought something that I didn't build...

I get a little carried away on the build stuff as I built the hinges and the latches and everything else on my house too... :) I bought an engine in a crate!! lol

Since the 1st part that I need to swap/interchange on this engine and I already bought won't fit I might start up 3 day build thread. I need to swap in a different oil pump intermediate shaft to drive my EDIS cam synchronizer. The one I bought-an ARP is almost 3/8" longer...problem is it isnt the same diameter the entire shaft and the tapered shoulder restricts any shaft end play...should hqve .010" min. Pull the "keeper" clup and it would work.

In a fantasy world I thought I would have the explore front serb different intermediate shaft for the oil pump and take manifold Cam synchronizer and everything on this engine to install tonight....hahaha

I'm spoiled, hook a factory throttle cable to the throttle body, push other end into hole on fire wall and connect to pedal, and it magically works:p Or screw the JY electric pedal to the firewall and run the harness.... works like a new truck.

Sorry I had to, couldn't resist:p
