Electric fan...how close is to close?

After sending a fan into my new triple flow radiator I decided to install a electric fan. My main issue was clearance. I wanted to get the fan fit without using a special water pump or grinding the end off a stock one. Want to stay away from special parts for easy replacement. I moved my upper mounts to the front of my radiator support and was able to fit my electric fan in. It's tight and my friend says it to close? My question is, why is it to close? What problem could happen? Your opinion is appreciated.

Thanks
John

That's about like mine.....

I've had it that close for two years all street driven with no issues.

Just need to allow some clearance when your engine torque some when the motor mounts give some...

I am putting solid wh motor mounts in since the old ones probably took out my radiator...also thinking the motor will torque up and away...only want to buy two radiators this year..
Thanks

Looks fine. Cannot imagine the engine moving forward that half inch ever.
