Does the electric tank switch have a in-between spot like the manual switch or is it just one tank or the other?

Which switch? The factory gauge selector switch is only a two-position unit.
If you mean an electric selector valve, the same thing applies, Both the motorized type and the solenoid type are only open or closed.
The motorized type stays in position when the electricity is turned off. The solenoid type (simpler and cheaper) goes back to the default setting when the key is turned off, or the switch turned off.

You have one you're trying to trouble-shoot, or planning on installing one?

i have a mechanical fuel tank selector under the drivers seat a i like that you can put it strait up and down and cut off the fuel, kinda between tanks. I was wondering if the electric one is the same?

i had an attempt theft on my bronco and want to make things a bit harder to steal.
