electrical problems, 3g alternator possibly?

Hoping I can get a little help with an electrical problem. I’ve had my 1970 bronco for 25 years as a stock rig and I am just now getting to my “to do” list. First change was an electric fan and aluminum radiator to keep it cool, which then necessitated a 3g alternator. I sent it off for paint and when it came back I noticed the right turn signal lamp is dimply lit any time the battery is connected, regardless of key position. The light goes out when I remove the flasher but the flasher is warm to the touch. I did not notice this light after the installation of the alternator but I did not drive it between the time I got it back and the time it went to paint. I did have a dead battery a couple of times times but when charged it, it started. However one day when I jumped it the battery top blew off (thank god prior to new paint). I’m now thinking addition of the new alternator was done wrong. I had an ASE mechanic do the work but these problems did not exist before that work. First question, should the stock bronco voltage regulator be removed and if so can someone help me with the proper wiring. I saw many articles on the alternator wiring but nothing specific to the stock regulator or modifications to that part of the harness. The alternator has a yellow wire which runs to the battery lead on the alternator which goes to the battery( creating a Loop) the white wire with black tracer on the harness runs to the white wire coming out of the connector to the right of the positive lead on the alternator (again this loops on the alternator). The green wire runs to the ignition I believe. The truck starts and runs healthy other than the fact that the alternator squeals unbearably, I am hoping that is the belt. Any help would be appreciated.

Look on my site in tech tips for a wiring drawing. You will not use the stock EB reg. The 3G has a reg. on it. The wiring at the column my be crossed for the light problem?
