Find an auto electrical tutorial and takes notes for a 1/2 hour a day and in a month you will be able to speak the language and the brain trust here can send you in the right direction quickly. It's not hard but it takes time like anything else.
There are 60 plus videos in this series but not all are electrical so pick your way through starting at video 4, good luck!

Here is an excellent tutorial in which I benefited from, it's common for anyone to forget the basics sand get ahead of ourselves in diagnosing electrical issues, even these guys got confused from time to time!
