Engine block # stamp

i was cleaning a engine block.1974 302 i think.its stamped DIZM-6015-AA
1603
With these numbers can anyone or i go somewhere a look to see exactly,what type year block i have.Just curious. ;D

That would be D1ZM...and all that tells you is that the block was cast with the '71 model year block design details. The casting date code tells you when is was actually cast.

Thanks for the info.I was wondering if i could tell if i had the stronger or weaker cast engine block,Just from the numbers. This 71 casting.which is out of a 1974 Bronco, has bigger spark plugs then my 1977 motor??Does anyone know the autolite spake plug numbers## for the 1971 block?
