I am switching out my 302 for a 351. I thought I have read that the engine does not set level in the frame, but actually tilts down a little in the back. Can anyone confirm this and if so, how much lower in the back than the front?

Yes is is lower in the back. How much, don't know. But a carbed intake has the carb pad nearly level.

Don't get too worried about it not sitting perfectly level, it won't. When you bolt it all up that is how it sits. The angle will be set by the transmission crossmember.

The angle it sits at should be the same, whether it be the 302 or 351.

no change here - 302 transfer case was raping the floor, 351, still raping the floor...
