You need to change the motor towers that are mounte4d on the frame. The V8 uses a different one and it is also in a slightly different place. The tranny crossmember is the same but youll want to makle sure you go wit a V8 tranny.
You are also going to want to change to a V8 radiator.
Other than that, there isnt too much you have to change.
If I think of other things Ill post it. I did this swap about a year ago. Nott bad.
Where are you located ? I have everything you need to swap to a V-8 except a extra engine. Problem is , I don't like shipping stuff all over the country.
Well, you are fortunate. There are a lot of Bronco guys in your area. I'm sure someone will read this thread and tell you they have the parts you need . Someone closer to you. You could go over to the parts wanted forum and place a ad also. Good luck with your project. Sorry I didn't live a little closer.
I asume you have the manual transmission so you will have to either modify your clutch linkage or replace it with a V8 linkage. The equilizer bar is different from a 6cyl to a V8. If you use a V8 radiator you will need to cut some of the core support brackets out of the way---that's what I had to do. I bought my motor towers from Tom's bronco and they needed to be welded in. They didn't cost to much and the quality was real good. There is enough "play" in the transmission crossmember to adjust for the difference so other than what everyone else mentioned, you should be ok.
Don't forget you need to change your rad. also. you will have to do some mods to the rad. supports. I welded agle iron to the frame to mount the bottom to and used the stock 302 rad. supports on top. good luck it's an easy swap if you have a welder.
