I've got problem with oil coming out of the dipstick the oil filler hole and the pcv valve any ideas what could be causing this and how can I fix it. it only seems to happen when I'm driving I tried watching the engine while it was idling but I could't find or see anything. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Wade

Sounds like you are bulding crankcase pressure . The first suspect is the PCV valve , it's hose or the port where it enters the intake . Some models had a vented breather cap that can become plugged up with dirt , others had a hose from inside the aircleaner so the system had clean air . If all this checks out , perhaps worn rings and or valve guides are at fault .

I had the same exact problem with a 74 I had. The problem is that you may have a PCV valve, which allows the engine to release air, but you don't have a place for the engine to take air in. At idle you wont have a problem, but when you drive and the pressure builds, it has to go somewhere and it's usually right out the top of the dipstick tube. I had to buy new valve covers with the holes in them already. For a quick fix we found a plastic oil filler cap and drilled a hole in it. We fit the cap with a brass fitting and ran hose from the cap to the air breather. Worked like a charm. Of course it didn't look cool, but then again, who cares. I hope this helps.
