I'd drive the hell out of that...

HAHA!

I am going to drive the hell out of it before the week is up trust me!

We built this damned monster thinking it would be a hit? Turns out no one has any money! %)

We have several six doors being built right now that make a bunch more sense.

Have a look: http://customautosbytim.com

Going to crash test the two door "X" Wed. morning, 12/02/09.

Save our site to your favorites and have a look...stand by!

so it's short, strange looking, but cool. now why do you want to destroy it?

Just joking man! We thought we had this silly experimental "X" sold and an old boy backed out on the most worthless website ever, that would be eBay.

We are going to take it out and make a couple of videos, that is all?

We are not going to destroy our good old "X" ;D

Drove it to lunch today, everyone loves it!

This is one bad ass site BTW!

I will for sure be in contact with the moderators of this site as soon as possible! More hits than any other site ever!

THANKS!

there'd be some interest from these guys in a 4 door early bronco, especially if you made it with the same quality as your other conversions...If I had the money, I'd have one.

I have a co-worker who worked at Ford a few years back. Was responsible for the Harley version the first years. He told me about a 2-door Expedition that Ford built. Thought it was great. This looks very much like what he described. Judging from the quality of the build I wonder if it is the same?

Surprised at you BroncoBowsher,;) I sure hope Ford would never simply cut the door width out, butt it back together and ignore the goofy looking a$& end of the vehicle, rather than shifting the axle and wheel wells rearward to balance the vehicle. Now that would be a cool build!
I'm drooling over those six door tow rigs, tho:eek:    ;D

checked this out last night and i could understand the need to extend vehicles, but why chop up an already long vehicle-like the excursion. in this case, just get an expedition. seems like a waste to me. but, that's what makes this country wonderful...do what you like!!

This is filling in the gap left when EVERYONE stopped making fullsize 2 door SUVs. No more Broncos, no more Tahoes, no more RamChargers...

After checking my source, Ford did build one in house with a diesel once. It was simply a styling concept. Based off a superduty instead of a shortened Excursion. Basicley shortened a superduty and put the Excursion rear clip on it. Not sure how different that is from just shortening an Excursion? But that is what was done.

And they did name it, 6 letters and started with a B

Too bad they never went any further with it.

Those Icelanders know how to make a tough-looking truck. I like the ford version - only stick a removeable top on it and you've got a ... well, a Bronco. Tim's got the rear wheel at least 6" too far forward.
