Explorer EFI Mass Buy Feeler.

I just want to say that I took delivery of my ECU and Harness from Garry...

It is very clean, sano job, all the Ford connections are marked along with the individual wires and he supplied the Explore relay box with the rewire.

Garry called me with a lot of questions and he has provided me with the wires in the locations that I need to work with my 68 and the Centech harness.

The harnesses (3) (engine, 4R70W, and power) have fresh wire loom and are prewrapped with tape. I feel the quality is as good as I would do, and I am very type A about how I do things.

I am eager to get started on my rig, but it is at the body shop and when it comes home I will need to pull the 289 and 3 speed, then clean and paint the frame before I can get started.

Today was my lucky day. I thought I had given all my mountaineer wiring and computers away when I sold a project EB I had. Turns out I had two engine harnesses sitting tucked away in the over head shelve I have built in the garage. I only have one computer. The wiring I don't have is for the auto trans which I do not need and I need to go look for the fuse box and relay stuff. Not sure if I have that.

As soon as funds permit I will go the explorer EFI route as I have fuel rails and all to run this set up.

I do need to figure out which harness goes with the computer. One harness has the 3 wire dizzy hook up and the other has a 2 wire hook up.

Definately put me on the list for round 2. Ive already got my 96 explorer torn apart and sent off the the salvage yard. Traded for an old horse i didnt want anymore and got the complete 96 explorer running with the title. Tore it apart kept the entire drivetrain pulled all the harness out from the engine compartment and the obdII as far back as i could. Kept the computer and will want to run the 4r behind the motor. The best part is that i got $275 back when i scrapped the body. Not a bad beal. So im definately up for this just need more details such as pricing and anything else you might need on your side.

Well guys, I'm not doing the Mass buy thing any more, sorry.


Instead, I'm just taking orders as they come in at the mass buy price.

You guys have been keeping me busy enough that getting 5 at a time is not an issue any more. I'll keep the price the same through the end of the year for sure. There has been some hinting that my tuning costs may rise after that.

I'm a couple of weeks backlogged, but any body that wants one done just PM me with your e-mail address. I'll send you an order form and shipping info.

There is no way to run a dizzy with Explorer EFI. You will need a cam sensor and coil packs instead. The EDIS system is far more accurate and reliable than a distributor anyway.

I still haven't gotten around to trying the hybrid sensor for 351w use. I know several people have had collars made to use the 3.8 sensor.

Anybody want to chime in as to who is selling the collars?

Good to know. I hope to have the funds here shortly to have my harness reworked by ya. I first have to go get the bulk head connector I am missing from the pull it yard next week.

He was kind enough to share his R&D work on the 351 collars with me. I'm going to have one of my machinist buddies make one for me. I suspect I can get one of the local guys here to try it out.

If all goes well I'll see if he's interested in making more.

i am interested in 351w setup. i will need pretty much everything. how am i looking at? i have the intakes, injectors. need all electronics.

so what vehicle does the 3.8 sensor come from that you will need for the 351 conversion.
