I am in the process of doing this. Yes it will work. There is a lot out there that will answer your question, try to search for them.

you can use the explorer balancer just take it to your local engine builder and have it rebalanced , mine cost around 40.00 . recoiljunky do you have a part number for your serp . i left mine a bone yard and have measured but would there do it the easy way by asking someone else for haha

If you're just now building the engine, have the crank rebalanced for 50 oz. If it is going on an existing engine, get Dampenerdudes to rebalance the stock Explorer balancer or get the pully thing everyone has been talking about the past few weeks.

The answer is still yes.
