Explorer serpentine with aluminum heads

Anyone running the explorer serpentine setup with aluminum heads? I think the heads are throwing my pulleys out of alignment and I might need to space the bracket out from the head. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem?

I don't have aluminum heads, but I did have to shim mine with washers in a couple places to get the belt aligned right ( I got Iron ET7E heads). Mine kept slipping off!...

I took off the fan and used a long plastic level, to make sure all my pulleys lined up perfect. The Idler pulley and Power steering pump were off on mine

I did the wild horses Saginaw power steering pump bracket and had to use a bigger spacer then what they provided but now I noticed the alternator is back about a 1/2” about the same thickness I had to add to the Saginaw bracket. Guess I’ll space it then.

I am running a Ford Racing crate 5.0 with aluminum GT40 heads. I did need to put a couple of washers behind the upper half of the alternator bracket set to get a good alignment.

Edelbrocks here with no issues, except aftermarket PS mount is just not right. With all stock explorer serp it all lined up fine.

crap Ima gonna need another high pressure line for sure using that mod.

I thought wild horses had that as well?

I advise against the aluminum crank pulley, heard of issues with aluminum pulley wearing.

Hmmmm that’s funny you say that cause WH is sending me a new crank pulley cause mine has a wobble to it.
