Explorer Swap - it's alive! But oil in header after initial fire up?

I have more questions than answers.
You don't need to pull the box to replace the seal. Drop the pitman arm, take out the snap ring, put nut back on part way. Put a large drain pan underneath, start motor and turn wheel if needed. Seal should blow out, remove and install new seals , put everything back and check fluid level.

I'll have to try this next time. I saw a youtube video too that did it this way.

I'm pretty sure I would have had to take it apart anyhow. once I got the sector shaft out, the lower needle bearings started falling out. The 'topmost' seal also didn't want to budge, so I ended up having to tap it out from the top w/ a socket. At that point, I knocked the lower bearing out too. Unfortunately, I'm waiting on the Edelman #7858 kit now so I can replace the bearing.. my local napa doesn't seem to carry the kit with the bearing(s). The top bearing seems to be in pretty good shape yet, so I'm going to leave it, since the kit only comes with 1 bearing anyhow.
