From 68 Ford service manual:
From 65-72 MPC:
V8 radiators came with 9, 11, or 13 fins per inch
V8 fans came with 4, 5, or 7 blades (5 & 7 blade are flex, 4 blade is solid)
Also in 68 Ford went to a radiator with fill cap and eliminated tank between radiator & engine, which may explain two flavors of standard and extra cooling in service manual.
