I have a '72...currently installing 2-point lap belts for the stock rear seat. If any, where are the stock mounting holes for the belts? will I need to drill more holes? thanks.

my 76 doesn't have any mounting holes so you'll probably have to figure out where they work and drill new holes but be careful because the gas tank might be in the way.

I just installed rear seatbelts in my 69'. I just spaced them in line with the rear bolts that hold the rear seat down then two in the middle and it worked out great. It ended up a few inches in front of the rear tank.

I have some measurements written down here somewhere from when I put carpet and mats in my Bronco. Figured drawing it out save me from poking too many holes in the new carpet!
If I find it, I'll post up the locations, but it sounds like jayvee's got you pretty well covered.

I was in the same situation - no original holes. But the rear seat holes were rusted out some as well. So I made a bracket for both. I took a 6' piece of angle iron from Lowe's. I cut the piece across the back the same width as the seat - 36 1/2". I cut 2 15" pieces for the seat mounts. Then I cut 2 5" pieces of 1/8" flat for the fronts and welded it all together. I drilled 1/2" holes for the seat bolts and for the seat belt mounts. I used grade 8 7/16" bolts, nuts, etc. Actually did that today - so perfect timing.

Bronconaut, that may just be cleaner than the factory set up. All my Broncos have the factory holes, and when you remove the rear seats, you gotta remove the belts too if you are hauling anything.

Love your avitar. Marvin the Martian. One of my favorites%).
