Getting ready to order a family cage. After reading the threads on here I am leaning towards Bailie Bilt. Anybody have recommendations on which one, standard or custom?

Go custom and you can get grab handles above your head and the dash bar also

I just picked up a standard Bailie Bilt cage. He'll put grab handles wherever you want, as well as seat belt bungs. The difference between standard and custom, as he explained it to me, are the dual B pillars and overhead bars. Gordon is awesome to work with, and I have no qualms about putting the safety of me and my family behind his cage. And that, really, is the most important thing when buying a cage.

Don't see any info where you are located, I am sure other members could point you toward a good cage builder locally.

If not, I would go Bailie bilt and you could option it the way you want. Strongly recommend tying into the frame too.

I am in Birmingham. Gordon suggested black with some texture. i am found a place in town that would powder coat for a reasonable price. How do you tie into frame?

You can tie into the frame via a plate under the tub where the cage's feet are, and those plates are welded to the frame via a tube or some other sort of device. One thing to note is that Broncos aren't unibody--the body should have some flex to it. Tying into the frame eliminates that flex. Also, Gordon's cages have a tube running along the floor, connecting the b pillars. In the event of a rollover, that's not gonna punch through the floor.
