Here are a few pic's of our weekend. Luckily my son sells cranes and equipment for a living. This is the first time this U14 tub has been on this frame. We had a minor clearance problem around the rear shock mounts and the power steering box - all better now.

The next challenge is to attach the door pillars. We wanted the tub resting on the frame to eliminate any possible sag issues. I have the new pillars bolted to the doors. Our intention is to attach next weekend. Any suggestions?

I also need to drill the two body mount holes behind the seats. Where the mount is on top of the frame its a little difficult to locate the hole. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hey, any other pointers that you guys might have for a group of rookies please feel free to comment. As you can see in the pictures, the body is now held together with about 400 tek screws. These of course will be removed and welded up shortly.

Looking very good. Gotta say I've never seen a crane used to set a Bronco body! But good use of what was available to you!

As for the body mount holes I would get some good measurements off a stock and straight Bronco, then drill 1/8" holes to see where you are. If ok drill to size. If off enlarge with a dremel in the direction you need to center the hole on the frame mount. The big washer under the bolt head will be able to hide at least a small amount of offset! You should be able to get pretty close.

Yea, and did you see how great the frame and drivetrain look. Maybe he doesn't really need help he just wanted to show off. So, yes, you're doing a really great job, like the crane idea. Man I sure wish my drivetrain looked that nice. Keep up the good work..

I'd mount a cage a seats to the frame and drive that! That's too sexy to cover with a body. Nice work.

We got the wheel idea from Shelby. These are the same wheels that Shelby puts on their version of the Raptor. The wheel data is as follows:

METHOD RACE WHEEL:
Double Standard | Machined Street Loc
15x10
5x5.5 Bolt Pattern
-50 offset
3.5" backspace
