Fender emblem adhesive?

I hate the idea of putting holes in a painted fender and exposing bare metal. That being said, want the script emblems back on. Wondering if anyone has ground off the pins on the back of the script emblem and used adhesive (like the new cars do) instead of the pins? What did you use if you did? Any tips?

I have used 3M double sided emblem tape. Only use 3M everything else will let you down.

I'm not sure how much time it will take to cut it to the shape of the emblem. I would put the tape on the back then trim it with a razor.

3M VHB. Pretty much the same stuff (maybe even better) then the factory tape on new cars today.

I've used the 3M tape also. Sticks like glue.
