Finally out of paint! Haven't even washed it yet. Wanted to wait until the new bumper got here but what the heck. This was a lot of work but it was totally worth it! Couldn't have done it without the folks here on CB, Paul B., and the guys at Wild Horses. I have to add that Paul B. never hesitated to answer his phone during the week or weekends and answer questions for me.

Thanks to everyone!

That sure is a pretty truck. Need stats, Ken [lift, tire size and anything else you want to share]

That's how I want mine to be. Love the uncut look. Can I ask what tires are those ? Also what is the lift etc. Nice rig man!

Thanks!

Viking Red, original color. Looked really weird in the paint cup and in the shop after spraying. I was scared! Totally different look outside.

2 1/2 WH Susp. lift
BFG KO 31x10.5 on stock steelies.

Turned out just how I had it picture in my head. Really happy with it.

Short version (wish i had taken more pictures).

Truck was in decent shape rust in most common areas up front.

Measured everything but most were within 1/16 to 1/8 of measurements you can find on CB! That was big. Used it verify my numbers were close anf I was measuring in the correct spots.

Replaced rear 1/2 of both inner fender aprons.

Replaced driver side kick panel and was able to patch pass side.

Replaced both inner and outer rockers.

Replaced driver door pillar, replaced bottom half on pass side. Just a note: I could have replaced bottom half on both but I wanted to try both procedures. It was much easier to replace the entire door pillar and re hang the doors than to replace just the bottom 1/2.

Replaced driver floor pan and was able to patch pass side.

Replacing the cut quarters was the easiest. Panel bond along the top and welded rear door post and taillight hosing.

Was able to replace lower tailgate panel and patch a few other places.

There was a spot on the top that I thought maybe was CB antenna hole they filled with silicone but it was actually a 5/8 bolt that was put in to hold the support bow up. They just covered the bolt with silicone. Patched it up.

Patched a few bad spots in the bed.

I looks good but I think it would look even better with the stripes.

I think so too! Anyone used Broncitis stripe kits and can tell me a little bit about them? How do they compare to the originals thickness and appearance wise? I'm sure they are better but I'm just curious about the materials they are made with.

Maybe Broncitis can send me a small sample part of one?

Love the truck man, fantastic work!

I agree about it looking even better with the factory stripe on it.

You've got an awesome ride there, you should be proud of how it turned out.

Wait. That was you that called me at 6am on Sunday?
hah! Great to finally see it Steve.

And you're right. That really did turn out nice. I'm a huge fan of what Ford did with the Ranger stripes myself. I agree with the others that it looks fantastic even without them, so you are not under any pressure to get the stripes done quickly. But I definitely think the Bronco being uncut again would allow the stripes to set the whole package off just right.

Am probably going to turn my '68 into a clone-Ranger with Broncitis' stripes over the original paint. I think they would go well with the blue and white theme too.
Big decision to put that much money on old paint maybe, but it could be worth it.

If you get any more pics, just post 'em right up. We sure won't get tired of looking at your rig anytime soon!

I like it without stripes. Really sets off the beltline trim. Either way it will be a looker though. Ken

Looks great! I have the identical twin to yours! You are absolutely right about the color, the viking red should have been named something other than red, maybe an orange.
