There's a thread on here somewhere.It's pretty simple.I think they were 90's model Taurus motors.Had to fab a little bracket,disassemble a stock regulator,a little welding and bam,power windows.Worked perfectly.

I believe the thread I linked is the one referred to but not sure.

One of the several problems with the original regulators is the glass will not go all the way down in the frame so it sticks up an inch or two. Titanmikes kits come with all new regulators so the glass will go all the down in the frame.

I don't think this is true! My windows on my 70 go all the way down and don't stick up at all. Some of the aftermarket power window conversions I have heard have that problem but not the OEM roll up regulators that the trucks came with! At least that is my experience!

I'm referring to the one piece window set up. With the longer glass you need a longer throw on the regulator to support the glass and let it go up and down in the channels smoothly, this is why his kit supplies new regulators in the package. Also trying to use the stock regulators with the one piece windows doesn't allow the window to go down all the way. The new longer regulators allow you to mount the kit, keeping the placement of the handle in its original location to roll it up.

The original window has front and rear parallel sides which have plenty of surface to keep the window straight in the channels with only one support point from the original regulator.

The new longer glass has an angle at the front top edge which greatly reduces the surface area in the front channel. With the longer glass and the small front edge, the glass tends to tip forward when only supported by the single point of the original regulator..

The new kit will be supplied with a scissor type regulator that supports the glass at 2 point and allows horizontal leveling to keep the glass supported firmly at all times.

The complete kits are coming in around the low $600's range. No firm pricing yet as I am still waiting for all the parts to arrive so I can complete the kits and package everything up.

Kit update is close. Still waiting passenger side regulators. Parts have been promised 7-10 this time. If that works out I will modify them to fit and put the kits together. and get them out for sale.

I believe I will place the first batch on Ebay and price them at $649.00.

Since the parts I made for Jeff were prototypes, if there is anyone close to Covina Ca., I would like to offer to install a kit into one of your vehicles at cost to double check everything works properly.

Anyone interested? PM me and we can work out the details.

You have had a ton of interest on this site for the last 7 months and you are going to offer them on ebay instead???? May I ask why???? Lots of folks on here asked for them, seemingly 'placing an order' from the looks of reading the comments.

I'm out.

Thank you Pops.
You often say what I am thinking.....
But I am still interested. Guess I will look on eBay in a few months.
This is a drastic mod but I like it...

Doesn't make sense to me either maybe to avoid the vendor fee? Oh well might lose some sells as some don't do eBay.

I just went through each post and tried to count the number of 'orders' for the kit and I got 38.....some were like me: 'depending on the price' but I would say at least 30 were interested regardless.

SUGGESTION:
Possibly offer to these interested people before going ebay, especially if it is a small number of kits being offered????? If it is like 100 or more, then it probably wouldn't matter. If it is only 25 or so, then, many on here who want(ed) a set may not get them.

Just my personal opinions/thoughts.

Could still be a really nice product/upgrade though. Good Luck Titan Mike.

I am with Pops as well on this! As for fees as a contributor vs. Ebay, Ebay isn't free. Hell just list them on Craigslist if it is about the fees. Still interested based on price but I really want power windows instead of roll ups but not a deal breaker!

On top of that there is another company that is coming out with a kit that specializes in these type of conversions!

As I stated before, this is a bit of an extreme mod but I still like it.

With what good vent Windows are costing.....and they will probably still whistle in the wind.....

I'm still interested at that cost, but I would like to see some install pics and get some feedback first.

Either trying to figure out the market, gouge the first few, or ???

Seems like here would be a better place to start. Or we can wait until someone buys a set on ebay and knocks it off.
