Well last night I finally got my bronco started! It's been a 2-1/2 year project. I never thought I would be to this point! So now I need to get an exhaust system. I have Toms long tube headers. I am not sure if I want to go single or duals and where I want the exit to be. All I know that I will be using flow master delta 40 mufflers. What do you guys think? Any input would be appreciated.

So what size and orientation mufflers are you guys with duals running? Anyone running a crossover? Is a crossover worth it?

That must be an awesome feeling. I know how you feel, I have two driveway bricks right now that I can't wait to get started.

2 into 1 with exit behind passenger rear wheel everything else and the fumes are just miserable. If you really want the dual sound look etc dual exits behind wheels

What size exhaust are you using? I was thinking about dumping the exhaust over the rear axle. Anyone else do that?

I ran 2 1/4" mandrel bent on duals. You might need 2 1/2" with crush bent pipes. When I was getting ready to do my exhaust I planned on a cross -over pipe. I was told by a top notch exhaust shop (the place that did mine) that there was no need for a cross over on mine since it is pretty equal anyways running the duals, but they would gladly do it for a $100 dollars if I really wanted it. Needless to say, I went without the cross-over.

Search for Super Single. Lots of good info. I run a single reversed 2-in/1-out Magnflow and I'm very happy with it. Not too loud and no droning when cruising, but nice tone when I get on it. A well planned single works very good and cleans up the underside quite a bit. 2 1/4 inch in and 2 1/2 out, IIRC.

I called a local exhaust shop and he said they would install duals for $600 with flowmaster delta 40s and 2-1/4 pipe. So they are charging me $150 ea for the mufflers and I can buy the mufflers for under $100 ea. So I was thinking about purchasing them and hooking them up to my headers temporarily so I could drive it over there. But I don't know what orientation mufflers I will need. I am doubting that they are center in and center out. What do you guys with duals have?

Well I bought a set of mufflers tonight. I bought offset inlet/center outlet. I am sure they will be loud but that's how I like it : )
