As of now they are only producing these for the GM version, but if enough people go to their website and register to get updates and select that you want a Ford version, they will start developing it. They just need to see some demand for the Ford version. Pretty cool though. :p

How awesome would it be to have a lower gear set in your 205 t-case!? They claim that their gears are stronger than an Atlas. Judging by the pics, their gears are pretty darn beefy!

CHECK IT OUT

They are selling a new case and gears, not lower gears for a NP205. It probably cost as much as and atlas, and isn't even complete.

DAMN! I have been WAITING for those to come out.... Any idea if they are planning on running production at all for FORD T-cases?

Yeah, me too! They said that they will if they see a demand for it. Go to their website and register to get e-mail updates. As you do that, select that you drive a Ford. This is how they are tracking how much interest there is in a Ford application.

Hmmm...some info from their site:

Q: What is included in the kit?
A: One new case and 5 gears.

"Optional components will include seal and bearing kits as well as 32 spline front output shafts."

"The new case is fully compatible with the stock NP205 shift forks, output shafts, shift rails, bearing retainers, etc."

So from the above info, it appears that you get a new case and gearset, and you then have to get all of the other components, both internal and external, and assemble it yourself. %)

Q: What is the intended application for the LoMax kit?
A: This kit is designed to be used in big, heavy, fullsize truck applications with high horsepower and large tires. This gearset is not targeted for the Jeep or single-seat tube buggy market.

"The new gear set is only available in a 3.0:1 reduction ratio."

Doesn't sound like it's targeted at EBs, but I guess it would work. You also don't have any choice of gear ratios, and 3.0:1 isn't all that great. I'm guessing that this option will be more expensive and certainly much more time-consuming than an Atlas, since one comes completely assembled and ready to install and one's not even close. Given all of this, what's the advantage of this over an Atlas, besides possibly stronger gears as they claim? (Ever heard of someone breaking an Atlas in an EB?)

Personally I think I would put the 3.1 gears into the 203 and be done with it. That would give me 1:1, 2:1, 3.1:1, & 6.2:1. BTW, I have heard of people breaking the Atlas and having to send it back to the factory. I've also seen a busted output shaft in a Chevy NP205 as well though so while they are the strongest case readily available they still are not completely bulletproof.

You probably know this, but for the rest of the group; the Chevy 205 has no comparison value. It came with a 10 spline front output and ALL Ford 205's came with the 32 spline front and rear output shafts...I'm not a big fan of the ATLAS either.

I will be putting the 3:1 gears in my 203. Not worth the extra $$$ for the 205 gear and case set. I read on Pirate that they will sell for $1500.
