I got a set of (what I was told) were stock early bronco 5x5.5 wheels from a guy, went to put them on and the lug pattern was too small. They look bone stock ford, and the guy swore he took them off a bronco. So, my question is, does anyone know of a ford of that era that had 5x5 pattern? Even the tires on the rims were 235x75.... Just weird.

Fullsize FoMoCo passenger cars '73-'78 use the 5" pattern, and a lot of GM's, including 2wd trucks.

Most Ford cars were 4-1/2" as well as Ranger/Bronco II/Explorer.

Exactly right. Not one of Ford's better ideas. After '78 the full size cars went back to 5x4 1/2"

Never heard of the full size car 5" bolt circle Fords. Learn something new every day.
I only knew of the GM 5" bolt circle cars.
