Frame Swap tips

Recently I purchased a frame from Throttle Down Kustoms (it looks amazing), and I plan on doing the frame swap. This is a first from me, first time for everything, right?

I can do the work myself, I just do not have a lift. Do you guys have any tips of the trade to do a home garage frame swap without a lift or would you guys recommend 100% do the swap with a lift.

I am aware of the whole VIN dramas, I don't want to go down a rabbit hole with that discussion.

Thanks in advance.

Where there's a will there's a way. You going for show or go? Some guys use oak trees some use lifts with epoxy floors. Both get the job done. I personally have a lift laying under an oak tree waiting for me to pour my floors....

I am a fan of using a gantry crane. It is portable and can be used for a lot of other things. I have a lift but find myself using the gantry for almost everything.

Those gantry lifts are great. Wish I had room.

When I removed the body from mine, I gathered up three friends and we lifted it off by hand. No problem. But, the body was pretty much a bare tub. If yours is more complete you'd need lots of friends. But at that point, the beer costs might be prohibitive.
