I got new speakers for the front; infinity shallow depth 5 1/4" D.

Should I mount in kick panel, door, panel etc...

I plan to run my half cab in the winter and sometimes w/o doors in the summer.

Anyone got any pics of a hot front speaker set-ups?

Here is what I did, if you do such a thing just remember to angle the speakers slightly towards each other for the best sound quality.

I am debating the same thing right now. I almost cut my doors but if your doors are nice its almost worse than cutting rear fenders. I stopped myself from doing it anyway moments before I was ready to start when I realized my speakers would interfere with the seat frame on my cage. I am thinking of buying some shallower speakers and mounting them overhead in my cage.
I have no room in my dash and am personally not fond of speakers under the dash on the transmission tunnel.

the floor to firewall transition works good for no doors/ no top. need lots of power to get over the wind and tire/engine noise.

horsewpt what are those controls on your steering column cover? great idea nice knobs too. i do have to contend with the gear banger and an np205 shifter that might make center console a little tighter. The floorboard transition might be a little too close to those North Carolina red clay covered boots when wheeling but I like it. thanks for the input.

Similar to some of the above, here's what I did. I wouldn't do it again in DP, but the design works fine.

The knobs on the column cover are my backup light switch, and a two step switch(like the headlight switch) first pull lights up my grillguard KC's, and all the way out lights up the KC's on the top of my windshield, so one switch for four lights with the option to run one set at a time. Here is the process of making the speaker box. I'm no Chip Foose, but it's good enough for me. Thanks for the props!;)

Getting closer

Thanks to all for the pics and feedback....

I made a little progress today with the wiring harness getting the dash installed and nearly complete.

Here are a couple of pics of the ground buss I installed on the full length of the back side of the dash for grounding and for mounting cable management devices. It worked out well and I didn't have to grind the powder off.

The other two are of the front. I will have to get in touch with my inner Foose on the speakers It is going to be tight in the center but..... I was thinking of making a surface mounted box for the door/door panel area.

It will be nice to have reliable power!!!

Thanks,

Jason

I would mount them on the top and forward section of the door panels like Billy abel did in Bronco Driver magazine....or mount them on the roll bar.

i put 6 1/2's in the back bottom corners of my doors, barely fit, i cut them out with a jig saw, look and sound great! i recomend that.
