66 with new wiring , new sender, new constant voltage regulator gauge pegs full all the time when hooked up.
I have tested the sender out and read fine and in with over half a tank right now it reads 22 ohm at the sender. I've ran wires directly to the sender and up to the dash and it reads 22 ohm again. As soon as I hook up to the gauge it reads way past full on 2 original and new gauges and also on a brand new autometer gauge that is the correct ohm ratings. What am I missing? It's all new wiring in the truck and I ran directly there with 2 wires to eliminate wiring being the cause but I'm not sure what to try next.
Just ran the 2 wires from the sender to the battery area ohm still reads 22 on the ohm meter. I hook the sender wire to s post on the autometer, the the ground from the sender right to the negative battery post and then a wire from the positive post to the I post on the gauge immediately goes past full.
