Hey guys,

Before I found my 76 EB (which had the 44 with power discs) I bought a used full width dana 44 (complete hub to hub) to rob parts from. I only had a dana 30 and wanted to upgrade to discs and such.

But, now that I found and purchased a 76, I no longer need the full width dana 44 or any parts from it. I want to put it on craigslist or ebay, but thought I better check what you guys thought the market value was and how I should sell it.

It has new calipers and rotors (which I understand can be used to convert a drum dana 44 or dana 30) to disc brakes.

Do I sell the brakes SEPARATELY as a 'EB disc brake conversion' and sell the differential and housing together?

It is a high pinion dana 44 and I have the factory "T" style linkage that came with it as well as the radius arms.

Any input is appreciated.

Totally depends on your location and the condition of the axle. I've seen them sell for $100 on the low end and $1000 on the high end.

I paid around $950 for a '79 BB front and rear axle with 4:10s, rear locker, front LSD, steering gear, aluminum wheels (and tires), extended radius arms, springs and a truckload of other small parts.

I see them (78/79 HP44s) in decent but stock used condition for $250-$350all the time...and yes, you can get a pretty good chunk of that, even all of it, for just the 'knuckles out' parts for a disc conversion.

$2-300. But a lot depends on your area. I got mine for $50. I'd also sell it all together that way you dont have a bare housing sitting around that nobody want.
Also the disc brakes off the HP44 wont fit a D30

I see them pretty regularly for $200 complete. I lucked out and got my knuckles out disc conversion for $75.
