Well it to 1 year and 5 days to get to this point but I finally moved into my garage today. Lots of delays, back ordered stuff, weather, and the door saga but Im finally in. Got to organize all the tools and unpack some new equipment but I can start wrenching again. I'll post up a garage built thread in the off topic section.

I was thinking to myself, no wonder it was hard to build...you were fighting gravity something fierce to build it upside down like that.

Congrats on the new shop space...you can never have enough. ;D

Phred, what do you have? Looks like two 78s and an EB. What years and stats? I know you are glad to have it done and a place to put them.

So rather than a lift you use a lower or chain fall? Standing on my head it looked pretty nice, then I fell.

Shop looks good. I wish I could get my bronco on the ceiling like that. I could park my boat under it and free up a lot of floor space...lol. I have trouble with pictures too.

The forum (currently) doesn't appear to respect the orientation specified in the image file when uploading. It's particularly easy with cell phones to take images that are upside down. You'll rarely notice because the cell phone will tag an orientation flag on the image, that most viewer respect.

Until the forum uploader is fixed, take photos with the cell phone "right side up".

Brett, can you give us a picture of the floor support system. I am getting ready to build a two story garage and I'm looking at different floor options to support at least (2) vehicles on the second level.

74 eb 302 c4 2.5" duff lift with 1" body lift lots of extras
white 78 xlt ranger .030 over 351m with lots of goodies, np435, tru-tracs, yada yada, yada
yellow 79 xlt ranger with 6bt cummins. Belongs to a buddy. I'm fixing all the dangerously hacked work done to make the diesel fit.

This was definitely not a cheap way to go but better for me than bring in 250 cy of fill and building big retaining walls.
The frame is fairly light. w12x10s and 15's for beams with 1.5" of camber. Columns are w6x15. Composite 20ga steel deck with #4 bars 12" oc each way. 5000 psi 4" concrete slab.
